QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Malik Baloch is under sever criticism from his own party officials over appointment of Arsalan Iftikhar in Balochistan Investment Board, ARY News reported Thursday.
Political circles and members provincial assembly registered their protest against appointment of Arsalan Iftikhar, son of former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary. However, the CM insisted that he himself appointed Arsalan, saying he would help bringing investment in the province.
Sources said the Malik was facing intense from within his own party after Arsalan’s appointment. A senior leader of National Party is also agitated over the decision.
Different political analysts have also taken exception to the decision regarding appointment of a person on important post who is facing corruption charges.
