PESHAWAR: Finance Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Siraj ul Haq has announced to strive for acquiring the profit share of the province from the Federation, regarding the electricity generation in the country – ARY News reports.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Siraj ul Haq said that the KP Government does not want a feud with the Federation; however it wants to settle the amount to be paid by the Federal Government.

He said that a specific class present in Islamabad has not learnt a lesson from the history and it is still following the same path which it was up to in 1971.

The KP Minister said that the provincial government is resuming its struggle to acquire its profit share regarding the generation of hydroelectric power.

He added that for this purpose, at first all the past finance minister of KP will be invited and their suggestions will be sought.

Siraj claimed that the highest amount of electricity pilferage is taking place in Punjab, despite that Abid Sher Ali is alleging the people of KP, which is beyond understanding.

Commenting on the abandoning of the gas supply for a month to the CNG sector in KP by the Federation, he entirely turned down the decision and labeled it all a drama.
