Afghan nationals arrested in Lahore search operation

According to initial details, police launched a search operation in Lahore city along with Raiwind and arrested several suspects after checking their documents.

Surprisingly, police found that most of the suspects belonged to the neighbouring country Afghanistan.

All the arrested are being scrutinized for documents and involvement in terrorism.

Police sources say that anyone found involved in terrorism related activity will be dealt with iron hand.However those succeeding in identifying themselves as Pakistani and peaceful citizens will be freed.

Raiwind is part of the Nishter Town subdivision of Lahore District and lies about 40 kilometers from Lahore.

Pakistan has intensified its fight against terrorism after a December 16 attack on Army Public School in Peshawar city which killed 149 people mostly children.
