AJK PM seeks Centre’s cooperation in ‘revenue generation’

ISLAMABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister (PM) Chaudhry Anwar Ul Haq has sought federal government’s cooperation in the initiatives launched for its revenue generation, ARY News reported on Saturday.

According to a statement, the AJK prime minister issued these remarks during a meeting with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Chaudhry Anwar Ul Haq discussed financial matters related to Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and the pace of development schemes and projects in the region with the finance minister in the meeting.

The AJK PM apprised Ishaq Dar of the initiatives taken by territory’s government to enhance its revenue generation and sought support from the federal government in this regard.

Speaking on the occasion, Ishaq Dar said that federal government was committed for the development and progress of all regions including Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The finance minister further said that the welfare and development of the people of Kashmir is among the top priorities of the government and no stone will be unturned for the development of the area.

He also shared the economic outlook of the country and said that despite challenging situation, the government is determined to set the economy on stability and growth.

Dar extended all possible support of the Federal Government to the AJK government in its quest for economic progress and development.

Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq thanked the Finance Minister for extending support for the progress of the people of Kashmir.
