Anti-dengue spraying was carried out at Girls High School in the district as part of an ongoing fumigation drive. Following the spraying, more than 100 students fell unconscious who were immediately moved to a nearby hospital.
Doctors at the hospital said condition of 13 of the girls was critical.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident and sought report into it.
He also ordered the administration to suspend MLO concerned and staff of the fumigation team, immediately.
