LAHORE: The meeting of the apex committee chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif ended inconclusively without making a final decision on holding the Pakistan Super League final in Lahore.
The meeting attended by National Security Adviser Nasir Janjua, Corps Commander Lahore Lt. General Sadiq Ali and other higher civil and military leadership deliberated over the law and order situation in the city.
The military leadership presented intelligence reports over the security situation, and the arrangements which will be provided for the eagerly-awaited final.
Shahbaz Sharif had earlier held a meeting with Lahore Corp Commander and discussed the security situation and the operation Radd-ul-Fasaad launched to eliminate terrorism from the country.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reportedly agreed to hold the final in Lahore but said that final decision laid with the apex committee. However, the meeting ended with reaching a final decision whether to host the match.
The PSL final which is scheduled to be held at the Gaddafi Stadium on March 5 is still uncertain after the recent terror wave in the country.
