According to the post-mortem report, Sabeen was shot four times. The lady received two bullets in the chest and one bullet each in the face and neck.
Doctors said that the cause of death was the bullet she received in her neck.
“Sabeen was shot four times at close range”, police told media.
Sabeen Mahmud, the director of a NGO, The Second Floor (T2F), was shot dead by unknown assailants in Karachi’s Defence area.
Sabeen was pronounced dead on arrival at the Jinnah Postgraduate and Medical Centre at 9.40pm. on Friday.
Police termed the case a target killing incident adding that the case is being investigated keeping in view all aspects.
The law enforcement personnel claimed to have recovered empty bullet shells from the crime scene.
