QUETTA: Former secretary Higher Education Commision Balochistan Abdullah Jan has returned home on Wednesday after four months in abduction, ARY News reported.
Jan went missing on March 15 near his home by unidentified gunmen. His son Attique Khan said that they did not receive any cooperation in the release of his father.
He said his father safely returned home on Wednesday morning and was not in good physical health. His father told him that he was kept in a solitary room for four months, and was released in Noshki area of Balochistan.
He said that his father came to Quetta from Noshki on a private motorcycle.
The circumstances of this release are not known, whether he was rescued in an operation by security forces, or the payment of ransom.
The Balochistan government has expressed satisfaction at his release, while Home Secretary and DIG Quetta visited his residence and congratulated on his release.
