Black Caps eye first World T20 final slot

The match will be contested at New Delhi’s Feroze Shah Kotla stadium at 06.30 pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

It should be noted that New Zealand easily qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament after easily overcoming their opposition at every step.

The Black Caps started off with beating hosts and tournament favourites India by 47 runs and then defeated Australia by eight runs.

The Kiwis went on to beat Pakistan by 22 runs and then thrashed Bangladesh by 75 runs in their last match of the Super-10 stage.

England, on the other hand, had to fight for their place in the eliminator stages of the competition. Their path to the semi-finals has not been that easy as compared to their opposition tonight.

The 2010 champions got off to the worst possible start as they were humbled by the 2012 victors West Indies by six wickets but they managed to make a comeback by edging past South Africa while chasing 230 runs in a crunch game.

The English teams had a hard fought victory against minnows Afghanistan and then knocked out Sri Lanka by 10 runs to cement their place in the semi-final place.

The winners of the semi-final will play the World T20 2016 final against the winner of the second semi-final i.e. between India and West Indies.
