KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Rabita Committee (coordination committee) on Sunday appointed Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui as a new party convener, ARY News reported.
This decision was taken in a coordination committee meeting after removing Farooq Sattar as a convener.
Sources said 33 members of the coordination committee, five deputy conveners and members of central executive committee among others were also present on this occasion. MQM-P leader Faraz Khattak also joined the Bahadurabad faction in the meeting dissociating with Farooq Sattar.

In a video message, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui directed all the MQM-P officials to reach at Bahadurabad leaving Farooq Sattar in PIB colony.
“Those who are present in PIB went there on directive of the ex-convener and they were not to be blamed for that. However, they should contact Bahadurabad now on directive of the new convener,” he said.
