According to Radio Pakistan, in his meeting with the chief minister the corps commander discussed the matters related to law and order situation, ongoing targeted operation and implementation of the decisions of the apex committee.
Lt. Gen Naveed Mukhtar lauded the government’s decision of setting up ten more Anti-Terrorism Courts in the province.
The corps commander also met with Governor Ishratul Ebad at the Governor House and discussed with him the issues related to the National Action Plan and security situation in the metropolis.
Lt. Gen Naveed Mukhtar’s meeting with two high ups of the province come after a recent visit of the Chief Gen Raheel Sharif of Karachi in which he met with top intelligence officials, the corps commander and the D.G. Sindh Rangers at the Corps Headquarters in Karachi.
Gen Raheel Sharif vowed no let-up in Karachi operation in a statement issued after the top officials meeting.
