ISLAMABAD: Crown prince of Saudi Arabia Muhammad bin Salman will arrive in Pakistan on the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan on February 16 (Saturday), ARY News reported.
The Saudi crown prince’s two-day visit of Pakistan will further promote mutual cooperation between the two countries, Foreign Office Spokesman Dr Faisal here said.
The foreign office in Islamabad formally announced Saudi Prince Muhammad bin Salman’s visit of Pakistan.
Prince Muhammad bin Salman holds important ministries in the Saudi government, including that of the Vice President of the Council of Ministers.
The crown prince accompanied by a high-powered delegation including members of the Royal family, key ministers and leading businessmen, the spokesman said.
This will be his first state-level visit to Pakistan since elevation to the position of the Crown Prince in April 2017.
Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman will call on the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister and the Army Chief during the visit, foreign office spokesperson said.
During his visit, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will sign a number of agreements and MoUs in energy, investment, finance, power, renewable energy, internal security, media, culture and sports sectors.
The two countries will also discuss ways and means to develop a strong follow-up mechanism to ensure effective implementation and quick progress in the areas of cooperation, the foreign office spokesman added.
