As Bollywood’s megastar, Shahrukh Khan made it to Time Magazine’s annual 100 Most Influential People of 2023, his co-star Deepika Padukone penned a moving note for the former.
The list of the Icons for the year 2023, shared on Thursday, included Khan with names like Pedro Pascal, Jennifer Coolidge, Ke Huy Quan and Salman Rushdie.

Lauding her debut co-star and close friend, the ‘Pathaan’ diva penned a beautiful note for Khan, describing the bond they share. She wrote: “I’ll never forget the first time I met Shah Rukh Khan. I had just arrived in Mumbai from Bangalore with one suitcase and a dream. The next thing I knew, I was sitting in his house!”
“I was being considered for a role in a film opposite him. It’s been 16 years since,” Deepika Padukone added.
“What makes our relationship special is the love, trust, and respect we have for one another. Shah Rukh Khan will forever be known as one of the greatest actors of all time. But what truly sets him apart is his mind, his chivalry, his generosity. The list goes on …”
The actor concluded the tribute by stating, “For someone who has known him intimately and cares for him deeply, 150 words will never do justice to the phenomenon that is Shah Rukh Khan.”

It is pertinent to mention here that Deepika Padukone also shared the screen space with Shahrukh Khan in his latest Box Office juggernaut ‘Pathaan’, co-starring John Abraham.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Khan has an interesting lineup of films on the 2023 slate, including ‘Jawan’ and ‘Dunki’ in addition to an extended cameo in ‘Tiger 3’.
