MUMBAI: Just days away from celebrating his 94th birthday, Veteran Indian actor Dilip Kumar was rushed to Mumbai’s Leelavati Hospital on Tuesday morning.
The actor complained of a sudden swelling in his right leg, which alarmed his wife, Saira Banu who immediately rushed him to the hospital.
“I was anyway planning to take him for a routine check-up, but the swelling alarmed me. He was also complaining of cold and cough. I don’t ignore anything even remotely suspicious when it comes to Dilip Saab’s health. The doctors are examining him; he’s under observation. He’s very comfortable with the team here. I just hope there is nothing serious. Inshallah, I will take him home before his birthday on Sunday,” said Saira Banu.
The actor has been hospitalised quite a few times over the last few years, following major and minor ailments.
However, Dilip Kumar’s latest tweets showed he was recovering fast with the aid of doctors and his loving wife.
