PESHAWAR: A light earthquake struck different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday morning, ARY News reported.
As per details, the tremor whose magnitude and epicenter couldn’t be ascertained immediately was felt in Swabi, Battagram, Malakand, Mansehra and other parts of the province.
There were no reports of any damage.
This is the second tremor to hit Battagram and the adjoining areas in less than a month as a light earthquake was felt in the KP district on Nov 25.
A 5.6-magnitude earthquake had struck many towns of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in April this year. The epicenter of the quake was at the depth of 200 kilometres in Hindu Kush mountain area of Afghanistan.
Tremors were felt in Chitral, Battkhela, Bunir, Swat, Shangla, Malakand, Dir and Swabi districts among other areas of the province. No loss of life or property was reported in the earthquake.
