The education department has confirmed the reports of closure of educational institutions.
He said there were security threats to such places, hence the institutions have been shut. He said security will be enhanced to all alma maters before their reopening.
Meanwhile, security forces launched a search operation in Charsadda and arrested a banned outfir suspect.
Sspecial Security Unit said explosives and weapons were seized from the suspect.
The suspect has been moved to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
