LAHORE: Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan on Thursday said that the Punjab government will welcome foreign investment in the province for the improvement of infrastructure, ARY News reported.
Talking to representatives of different international companies who called on him here at 90 The Mall in his office, Abdul Aleem Khan offered that foreign companies can work on establishing economic and industrial zones along highways and motorways as it would also help in developing the surrounding areas.
The senior minister maintained that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision is of putting the country on the path of progress and prosperity in the real sense and for this purpose he intends to give self sufficiency to his motherland.
Aleem Khan assured that all foreign investors that they would be given practical cooperation and there would be no red-tapism or corruption.
He maintained that the PTI government will bring an end to the rampant mismanagement and plunder which resulted in financial bankruptcy of Punjab and will give full security and cooperation to the foreign investors.
“A transparent and corruption-free system would be adopted for new projects in Punjab,” said Aleem Khan.
Abdul Aleem Khan directed that in the next meeting Chief Secretary, Chairman P&D, Secretaries of Finance and Communication & Works Departments should also be invited.
