KARACHI: 114th birth anniversary of the creator of National Anthem of Pakistan, Hafeez Jalandhari is being celebrated today – ARY News reports.
Renowned poet and prose writer Hafeez Jalandhari was born on January 14, 1900 in Jalandhar, Punjab, British India. His pen name was Abu Al-Asar.
Hafeez was already known for being a poet, but he got eternal fame after having written the National Anthem.
He died on December 21, 1982 in Lahore at an age of 82.
