ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), headed by its President Dr Bandar M H Hajjar called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and appreciated the government for pursuing people centric growth policies.
Talking to PM Imran Khan, Dr Bandar offered support for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government’s flagship “Ehsas” program.
On the occasion, PM Imran appreciated the Islamic Development Bank’s long standing engagement with Pakistan and its support towards capacity building, polio eradication and economic growth.
The prime minister underscored the importance of IsDB for member countries and Muslim communities worldwide.
He said, “The current government and the bank shared the common goal of enabling the people to lead better lives and achieve their full potential.”
The prime minister appraised the delegation about the initiatives taken by the PTI government namely “Ehsaas” and “Naya Pakistan Housing” aimed at social welfare and poverty alleviation.

Earlier on May 2, an Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) delegation, led by President Dr. Bandar M. H. Hajjar, had called on Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in Islamabad.
During the meeting, IsDB President Dr. Bandar had expressed resolve to further strengthen cooperation with Pakistan in the areas of project financing and had assured of early financing of Jamshoro Coal Fired Power Plant.
