KARACHI: Mutahidda Qaumi Movement’s ex-MNA Haider Abbas Rizvi is away from the media limelight for months, but recent pictures of his Uber profile are taking over the internet claiming he is now a driver of a popular ride-hailing service in Canada.
A video is also going rounds on the social media, allegedly showing Rizvi on the driving seat of the Uber in Canada.
The internet is divided over Rizvi’s new pictures with some claiming the MQM leader was mere trying to gain public sympathy while others appreciate him for earning through sincere means.

But there is someone who questions this episode of honesty and integrity with a tweet. Though we don’t share this opinion but it is worth mention here to add another speculative dimension to this story.

In 2011, Rizvi had declared his assets before the Election Commission of Pakistan. In the declaration, it was stated that Haider Abbas Rizvi has assets of Rs19.92 million, including business holdings worth Rs6.6 million, gold jewellery of Rs5.64 million and Rs5.68 million cash.
