LAHORE: Calling Nawaz Sharif’s rally as an attempt to undermine the Supreme Court’s final verdict in the Panama Papers case, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Information Secretary Shafqat Mahmood on Wednesday said that former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s travel to Lahore via the Grand Trunk (GT) Road is his business but using patwari [land revenue officials] sponsored crowds to defy/malign the top Court is dangerous politics, aiming to undermine the democracy.
The PTI MNA from Lahore took to twitter on Sharif’s GT Road rally.
“Nawaz can do his politics in whatever manner he likes but [should] not use our money and state officials to further his political interests,” he said in a tweet.

Deploring the ruling party’s campaign, he asserted: “Nawaz Sharif has every right to go on whichever road he wants to but use of state machine/money to advertise and collect people deplorable.”
Meanwhile, another PTI MNA and economic expert Asad Umar also took to twitter and lashed out at ousted premier.
