Karachi: Police arrest father, brother for honour killing

KARACHI: Police arrested a father and his son for honour killing the family’s daughter in the port area of Keamari in Karachi, ARY News reported on Monday.

In a crackdown against miscreants, police arrested four suspects from Gulshan-e-Iqbal, while two dead bodies were recovered from two different areas of the city on Sunday night.

A body of a woman recovered from Keamari near Massan Chowrangi in the port city. The deceased was identified as Farzana who was allegedly murdered by her father and brother in an incident of the honour killing. Police arrested both suspects.

According to police account, Ghulam Nabi, the father of slain girl, and Nabeel, the brother, gunned down the girl in the name of family honour. The weapon used in the crime was also recovered from their possession, police said.

Police also arrested four suspects for their alleged involvement in stray firing and disrupting peace in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area.

Moreover, an unidentified body found from Gulshan-e-Maymar.
