FIA director meets dissident MQM leaders to collect ‘RAW’ proofs

Hayat was received by dissident MQM leader Dr. Sagheer Ahmed and Anis Qaimkhani at Kamal House in Khayab-e-Sehar.

Hayat will be given “proofs” by Kamal, Dr Sagheer and Anis Qaimkhani regarding Mutahidda Qaumi Movement’s alleged links with Research Analysis Wing (RAW), party’s involvement in money laundering and several other cases.

The FIA director will also record statements of the dissident MQM leaders in the case.

The agency has expedited its investigation against the MQM for its suspected involvement in several cases including money laundering.

Kamal had offered to share evidence of MQM links with RAW. Hayat is meeting Kamal on directions of the Ministry of Interior.

FIA had sought cooperation from Sarfaraz Merchant, Dr. Sagheer Ahmed and Mustafa Kamal yesterday. Merchant had assured to come to Pakistan to record his statement into the case.
