Four die as boat capsizes in Indus near Moro

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: A boat carrying 20 people on board capsized in Indus River near Moro leaving four people dead, ARY News reported on Monday.

A boat carrying 20 people was drowned in river adjacent to Arz Muhammad Laghari village near Moro. Four people were drowned to death in the boat capsize incident.

The rescue workers and local divers after the incident, retrieved four dead bodies and 16 survivors from the river.

One of the surviving boat passengers is said to be in a serious condition.

The emergency workers admitted the rescued people at Kachero and other nearby hospitals.

According to police, an inexperienced boatman was driving the boat, which was resulted in the fatal incident.

District Health Officer (DHO) Mazhar Kalhoro has declared emergency in the hospitals of district to meet the emergency situation.
