Four ‘Taliban militants’ killed in Khanewal shootout

KHANEWAL: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) shot dead four terrorists affiliated with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in an encounter in Khanewal, ARY News reported on Sunday.

According to details, CTD launched a crackdown against the terrorists and shot dead four TTP militants.

CTD sources said that the slain terrorists were affiliated with TTP Southern Punjab chapter. However, their two to three accomplices managed to escape from the scene.

Weapons and explosives including rifles and hand grenades were recovered from the slain terrorists.

It is being said that that the slain terrorists were planning to carry out a major attack in Multan.
