Karachi: Four terrorists killed in encounter with Rangers

KARACHI: Rangers personnel shot dead four terrorists in a gun battle in Karachi’s Gadap area, ARY News reported on Friday.

A Rangers spokesman said that the para-military force carried out a raid after receiving information regarding presence of terrorists  in the area.

He added the terrorists opened fire at the troops while trying to escape. Four attackers were killed in the retaliatory fire of the Rangers personnel, the spokesman said.

The law enforcement personnel also recovered weapons from the killed terrorists.

The slain gunmen were affiliated with a banned terrorist group, the spokesman added.

Rangers officials handed over dead bodies and the seized arms to Police. A search operation has also been launched in the area for the arrest of other suspects.
