RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday visited the North Waziristan agency along the Pak-Afghan border where he briefed about the security situation in the region.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the army chief was given a detailed briefing by the General Officer Commanding Miranshah about the security situation, rehabilitation of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) and progress on socio-economic development projects in the agency.
General Bajwa als laid wreath at the martyrs monument in Miranshah. He also visited the newly-constructed border forts and fencing along Pak-Afghan border. The army chief appreciated efforts for the speedy and quality work of the formation for border security measures.
