Government to be overthrown in few weeks, says Dr. Qadri

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri on Thursday claimed that a few weeks were left in ruling leaders to be overthrown, ARY News reported.

Once these politicians are overthrown, there will be nobody to save the [cruel] police officers, he told a press conference.

He referred retribution for police officers in connection to their ongoing alleged torture on PAT workers. Dr. Qadri said officers must refuse to obey illegal orders of their high-ups.

It will take, he said, only 15 days to hold accountability of incumbent leaders after the people’s revolution. He warned that government should rein in its hostile activities and stop targeting PAT workers.

The PAT stated that government officials were the employees of the State and not the Raiwand. Revolution is my promise to nation, which I will announce soon, added Dr. Qadri

The anti-government cleric said ‘Awami Revolutionary Council’ would be established soon to ensure swift dispensation of justice. After the revolution, every case will be decided in 15 days.

“Once the revolution comes, Sharif brothers will not find any shelter.
