While hearing a case pertaining to legal publications, Justice Jawwad S Khwaja was informed by his assistant that there were no details of the banned outfits available on the websites of the Ministry of Law and the Ministry of Interior.
He added that tomorrow if a case is registered against a journalist, he would simply answer that he did not know whether that organization was banned.
“If the names of all proscribed organizations and laws related to them are published on a website, then not only the world would become aware of it, but Pakistan will also be freed from the accusation of patronizing such outfits”, said Khwaja’s assistant.
At this, the apex court instructed the government to make these details public on a website and adjourned the hearing.
