The decision was made at a high-level meeting with Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in chair, attended by senior officials of police, National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
It was decided that all possible efforts will be made to extradite the proclaimed offenders and criminals wanted by Pakistan.
The meeting decided to speed up contacts with the Interpol to arrest the absconders and bring back to the country to face the charges against them, and that negligence on part of anyone will not be tolerated at all.
The bank accounts, identity cards and driving licenses of the wanted criminals will also be blocked, officials decided.
Moreover, the Ministry of Interior rejected as baseless the media reports suggesting arrival of a two-member team of the Scotland Yard in Pakistan.
