Yes, you hear that right. Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal are back to play their original roles in the famous film.
The iconic role of Raju, Ghanashyam and Baburao Ganpat Apte will come back together for the third installment of Hera Pheri.
The original Hera Pheri was released way back in 2000, and a sequel was released later in 2006.
However, the female leads for the film are yet to be decided. Hera Pheri stared versatile actress Tabu, whereas the sequel involved Bipasha Basu and Rimi Sen.
The decision was made by after John Abraham and Abhishek Bachan walked out of the film after which director Neeraj Vohra decided to bring the original cast on board.
The crew shot for the film for three months in Dubai but later John Abraham gave priority to Rohit Dhawan’s film Dishoom. Later Abhishek Bachan also dropped out of the film.
“I am not going to be doing that film anymore.” When asked about the reason for not doing the film, he said: “It just didn’t work out.”
Hera Pheri 3 was announced over a year ago and the shooting was supposed to commence in June last year but there are reports that the film got shelved due to various reasons. The film is now shifted for release in 2017.
