IGP ordered to allow Shahbaz Gill to travel abroad

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered the IG Punjab and DG FIA to immediately implement the court orders to allow the PTI leader Shahbaz Gill to travel abroad, ARY News reported on Friday. 

As per details, the LHC heard the case pertaining to not allowing Shahbaz Gill to travel abroad. 

The Chief Justice Lahore High Court summoned the IG Punjab and DG FIA on the next hearing, April 17. 

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill moved Lahore High Court (LHC) against Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), seeking the removal of his name from the exit control list (ECL).

The Lahore High Court (LHC) had allowed the petitioner to travel abroad, but FIA and IG Punjab were not following the court’s orders.

He demanded action against the two respondents for not implementing the court’s orders and sought permission for travelling abroad.

It is pertinent to mention here that Shahbaz Gill was barred from flying from the Lahore airport to Saudi Arabia by the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA).

the FIA immigration wing stopped Shahbaz Gill, claiming that his name was still on the exit control list (ECL).

It is worth mentioning here that the Lahore High Court (LHC) allowed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill on March 29 to travel to the United States (US) for four weeks.
