Imran cancels intra-party elections to focus on Raiwind March

Talking to media men after a party meeting, Imran announced that his party has decided to campaign for a protest march on Raiwind in the wake of Panama Paper leaks.

“So we are postponing the intra-party elections,” he told. “Once the march on Raiwind is over, we will hold elections within three weeks.”

The skipper told newsmen that we have formed committees tasked with making arrangements for the campaign, both financial and political.

He also urged overseas Pakistanis to hire a credible foreign audit firm to them, instead of funding the crusade against incumbent rulers.

“We will invest all our energies in it and invite lawyers, farmers, students and everyone to join us in an attempt to eradicate the cancer of corruption from the country,” said Imran Khan.

He went on to say that Tehreek-i-Insaf will celebrate its 20th foundation day at F-9 Park, Islamabad on April 24 and there he will elaborate his future course of action.

Responding to a question about rifts within his party at the highest level, Khan quoted a few examples from two-party system in US and shrugged it off terming it a ‘democratic phenomenon’.

When asked will this too will be a solo flight case, the PTI chairman admitted having gone for solo flights most of the time, but said this time he will invite all of the political parties and the entire country to join him in the struggle against Sharif family.
