India refuses Pakistan investigation team access to Pathankot airbase

According to Zee News, the minister said Pakistan’s inaction against the perpetrators of 26/11 Mumbai attacks and Pathankot Air Force base attack had exhausted India’s patience and the world will see its results in an year.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has constituted a high-profile joint investigation team (JIT) to probe the Indian airbase attack. India has also provided some ‘key leads’ to Pakistan.

In its action, Pakistan security forces arrested several Jaish-e-Muhammad activists and also house arrested JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar.

The JIT comprises officials from Intelligence Bureau (IB), Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI).

In a pre-dawn attack on January 2, a group of armed terrorists, which India claims to be JeM fighters, struck at the Air Force base in Pathankot.

India has provided “specific and actionable information in this regard” to Pakistan.
