A burglary incident saw Australia and England cricketers David Warner, Mitchell Marsh and Phil Salt having their bats stolen during the Indian Premier League (IPL).

A foreign news agency reported that the theft happened when the IPL franchise Delhi Capitals’ players travelled from Bengaluru to New Delhi. They were told that their equipment would be delivered to their rooms.
David Warner and Mitchell Marsh lost three bats each. Phil Salt, on the other hand, had his two blades stolen. Indian cricketer Yash Dhull had the worst as his five bats went missing.
Moreover, several players lost their shoes, gloves, and other items.

A source within the IPL franchise stated that theft came as a shock to the players.
“All of them were shocked when they heard that everyone had lost something or the other from their kit bags,” the source said. “This is the first time such an incident has happened and the matter was soon raised to the logistics department, police and later at the airport.”
It stated that an investigation into the theft is underway.
