According to details, a full court reference was held on Wednesday in honor of the outgoing CJ.
In his address, Justice Jawwad S Khawaja lamented non-availability of swift and inexpensive justice for the people, adding that verdict in a case at times takes as long as 25 years in reaching the apex court from lower judiciary.
He added that some cases are heard even for three generations and the judicial system of the country deteriorated instead of improving.
Justice Khawaja said we should admit that we failed in swiftly serving justice.
The participants of the ceremony praised Khawaja for his services for the judiciary.
