Police carried out a raid in Federal B Area and arrested a member of an outlawed organization named Mohammad Sarfaraz. The suspect is said to be involved in sectarian and political killings.
SSP Central Muqaddas Haider has said that Sarfaraz is also involved in the killing of four policemen and three employees of a private television channel.
Police shot dead a robber in an encounter in Defence area of the metropolis as an accomplice of the slain robber managed to escape from the scene.
Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) nabbed a suspected criminal named Adeel alias Vicky from Defence area of the city. Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) sources said that the suspect is said to be involved in the trade of illegal weapons.
