According to the Met Department, various parts of the country will experience a warm and dry climate for the next twenty-four hours. As far as Karachi is concerned, the temperature will remain warm for the next two days as the temperature is likely to range between 38-40°C.

Medical experts have cautioned citizens to not travel outside their homes unnecessarily. Yesterday, the highest temperature was recorded in Jacobabad and Chhor, as the temperature was recorded at 42°C.

Last year, the heatwave in Karachi coincided with the holy month of Ramazan. People throughout the city were fasting and owing to the harsh heat, more than a thousand people died due to heatstroke and various other illnesses.
