According to ARY News, defence minister speaking at the floor of the National Assembly called the reports about death of the Afghan Taliban leader in Karachi, Quetta or any other city of Pakistan as false.
He said that Taliban leader Mullah Omer did not die in Pakistan nor was he buried here. He also said that statements made by Mullah Omer’s family prove that he died in Afghanistan and was buried there as well.
He also said that Pakistan does not want to be involved in the row pertaining to Taliban leadership. He said Pakistan wants peace in the region and playing its role as facilitator between the Afghan Taliban and the Afghanistan government.
