SSP Farooq Awan informed media that the SIU on the information gathered by the CPLC, conducted raid at a place near Northern Bypass. The hostage takers opened fire at the police personnel. Police killed two kidnappers in retaliatory fire and recovered a top official of a private bank who was kidnapped two weeks ago.
The abductors had demanded Rs 100 million ransom money for release of Mr Ghous, a vice president of a private bank, police official said.
The dead bodies of the two abductors have been transferred to hospital.
