ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly (NA) Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has said that Kashmir cause is being negatively affected due to the fact that Pakistan does not have a regular foreign minister, ARY News reported.
He was talking to media outside the Parliament House.
Shah said, “the changing policy on Kashmir has also affected the issue.”
The opposition leader went on to say that Pakistan would not have been “embarrassed” in the Heart of Asia Conference in India if the country had a foreign minister.
Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while recently demanding the government for acceptance of the party’s four demands had also urged for appointment of a foreign minister forthwith.
The opposition leader advised the government to take benefit of the mediation offers of US President-elect Donald Trump and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
