Justice Maqbool Mahmood Bajwa of the LHC heard the petition. During the hearing, the petitioner took the stance that Article 62 of the constitution demands a member of the Assembly to bear good character and be non-profligate.
He said that the PTI chairman’s past is in contrast with the constitution and requested the court to disqualify him forever.
The petitioner also pleaded with the court to omit the objection raised by the Registrar Office on his petition.
The court while maintaining the objection on the petition declared it non-admissible for hearing and discarded it.
