Man gets life in prison for killing 3-year-old daughter

KARACHI: A local court here on Monday sentenced a man to life imprisonment for stabbing his three-year-old daughter to death.

The court announced its decision today, finding Muhammad Iqbal guilty of killing his daughter Wania in a Karachi neighborhood.

It observed that the prosecution established murder charges against the accused beyond any shadow of doubt.

In February, 2011, Iqbal stabbed his daughter to death after a quarrel with his wife.

According to prosecutor Abdul Qadeer Memon, Iqbal quarreled with his wife over domestic issues and lost his temper.

He killed his daughter by stabbing her multiple times and later blamed his wife for the felony.
