Medina bound PIA flight facing 12-hour delay

LAHORE: A Medina-bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight is facing a delay of more than 12 hours, ARY News reported on Friday.

According to details, PIA flight PK-747 was set to fly for Medina from Lahore at 09.00 pm on Thursday night. However, the flight did not left for its destination on schedule and the passengers had to wait in the departure lounge of Allama Iqbal International Airport.

The passengers, which included large number of pilgrims, started chanting slogans against the PIA administration at 01.00 am on Friday morning after which they were accommodated in a hotel.

According to PIA administration sources, the flight will leave for Medina at 10.00 pm on Friday morning.

It should be noted that the national airliner has been a subject of criticism over the flight delays and administration issues.
