The party held secret voting to pick names for the two slots, as a result of which Wasim Akhtar and Arshad Vohra secured majority of votes.
Akhtar was nominated for mayor, while the party named Vohra as deputy mayor from Karachi.
Wasim Akhtar has served as a provincial minister, while he was also elected as member of the National Assembly (MNA) in the past.
Arshad Vohra is a chemical engineer by profession and holds a Phd in Textile Technology.
