The rally will be staged at Bagh-e-Jinnah — a venue popular among Karachi’s political parties for holding big public meetings.
PSP’s founding leader Mustafa Kamal says he believes that a large number of people will respond to him at the public meeting with a hope to change political dynamics of the metropolis.
He said people were jumping into his party with their own will.
Meanwhile, arrangements for PSP rally has been finalized with strong security cordone placed surrounding Bagh-e-Jinnah – a venue for the rally.

A family festival was also arranged at Bagh-e-Jinnah Saturday night to mobilize people for taking part in the jalsa on Sunday. Some local singers also performed at the stage to enthral the audience.

Speaking in the ARY News programme last night, PSP leader Raza Haroon claimed that 90 percent of people at Nine Zero (MQM headquarters) were in contact with the PSP.
MQM leader Ali Raza Abidi has raised questions over funding of Kamal’s political party. He tweeted: “NAB can ask for proof of funding, donations. PSP is not even a registered party without a declared bank account.”
Kamal rocked the political atmosphere in Karachi when he returned to the country on March 4 and dropped a bombshell on MQM with startling revelations against his former party and its chief.

At his press conference flanked along Anees Qaimkhani, he levelled serious allegations on Altaf Hussain-led party, accusing it of being funded by Indian spy agency and targeted Mr. Hussain for resorting to violent approach in keeping hold of the city.
Following his presser, several dissidents of MQM announced in regular intervals to join Kamal.
So far, many senior but sidelined MQM faces including Raza Haroon, Dr Sagheer Ahmed, Anees Advocate, Waseem Aftab, Iftikhar Alam and others have joined the Kamal
