Sources privy to the matter told ARY News that the prime minister has convened NSC meeting at PM House on Friday. “The NSC huddle would be briefed on the recent terror wave in Pakistan, sources say.
The high-level huddle would be attended by the defence, interior ministers, other cabinet members and services chiefs.
Pakistan has recently witnessed a rise in terror incidents in Balochistan, Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
10-year economic roadmap
In previous huddle, the National Security Committee (NSC), while taking serious notice of the economic health of the country, decided to prepare a 10-year economic roadmap to steer the country out of the economic crisis.
The NSC meeting – chaired by Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif – in January took key decisions on prevailing economic and security challenges.
The NSC meeting linked national sovereignty and security to the national economy and resolved that people-centric economic policies with trickle-down effects to common people will remain a priority.
