Netflix has renewed its popular comedy-drama series ‘Ginny & Georgia’ for two more seasons, the streaming giant announced on Wednesday.
Netflix has ordered two more seasons of the mother-daughter dramedy, one of the most popular series of 2023 since the premiere of the second season on the portal, the streamer announced in this year’s Upfront presentation, earlier this week.

Along with the renewal of more seasons, Netflix has also tapped into a new showrunner, Emmy-nominated Sarah Glinski, replacing Debra J. Fisher, who ran the first two seasons of the series. The hiring was confirmed before the ongoing writers’ strike.
The ratings of the second season of ‘Ginny & Georgia’, which premiered earlier this year, took over the smasher hit ‘Wednesday’ from its No. 1 spot on the Top 10 English TV list on the portal, with 180.47 million hours. Moreover, the opening numbers outdid Season 3 of ‘Emily in Paris’,
‘The Watcher’ , and ‘Cobra Kai’ season 5.The 10-episodic season ended on a cliffhanger.
Speaking about picking up the show from there in her tenure, Glinski teased that it will be a ‘big roller-coaster ride’.

Created by Sarah Lampert, the series follows 15-year-old Ginny Miller (Antonia Gentry) and her mother Georgia (Brianne Howey), 30, who along with the latter’s youngest, Austin (Diesel La Torraca), 9, moved to a fictional town of Wellsbury, Massachusetts, for a fresh start after her husband’s death.
The show also features Jennifer Robertson, Felix Mallard, Sara Waisglass, Scott Porter and Raymond Ablack.
