Sindh Food Authority seals two nimco factories in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh Food Authority on Thursday sealed production units of at least two Nimco brands in Karachi, ARY News reported.

According to details, the SFA raided the nimco factories located in Bufferzone area of the city and found that the eatables were being produced in unhygienic conditions which prompted the authority’s team to seal the production units.

The production units belonged to famous brands and were producing the eatables since last 10 years.

SFA team reportedly found dirty utensils and substandard oil being used in the production of nimco while mice and other animals were roaming around in the premises of the unit.

This is not the first time that such a raid uncovered violations of food safety standards by popular brands in the province.

Earlier in January, an ARY News team along with Sindh government officials raided the production unit of a  famous bakery in Sukkur city of Sindh and sealed it for producing eatables in unhygienic conditions.
