Munir Niazi was born April 19, 1928 in a village near India’s Hoshiarpur. He acquired his early education from Khanpur and completed his matriculation after moving to Pakistan’s Sahiwal after partition.
He completed his Intermediate from S.E. College Bahawalpur and went on to complete his B.A degree from Diyal Singh College Lahore.
He proved himself as one of Pakistan’s famous movie songwriter after penning down famous songs and melodies. He also contributed his numerous pieces for newspapers and radio.
Munir Niazi was able to captivate writers and poets through his writings.
He was honored with Pride of Performance in 1992 and Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 1998.
He passed away on 26th December, 2006 due to an illness.
